Dr. Friedrich Schultehinrichs, born in 1965, studied Law in Mainz. During his time as research assistant at the Department of Tax Law at the University of Mainz he took his doctorate in criminal law. His early orientation towards the field of criminal law/criminal law concerning tax offences led to his working as research assistant at the Law Office Schneider|Schultehinrichs already during his legal internship. His training took place in part in the USA. Since his admission to the Bar in 1994, he has worked in the Frankfurt law office, since 1995 as partner.

His work in criminal law concerning business offences includes both individual defence briefs and management consulting. One focus in this connection is attending to criminal law briefs concerning business offences.

Dr. Thomas Schneider, born in 1982, studied Law at the University of Mainz. After his first state examination, he worked as a research assistant for a chair of business law at the University of Mainz, where he also gained his doctorate with a dissertation dealing with questions concerning the risk management and compliance in banking groups. Dr. Schneider took his second state examination 2010 in Mainz. During his studies he spent several months as an intern with international law firms in Chicago, Birmingham (Alabama) and Frankfurt am Main. Dr. Schneider is admitted to the Bar since 2010 and works in the fields criminal law concerning business and tax offenses as well as law of appeals.

Dr. Thomas Schneider is a specialist lawyer for criminal law (Fachanwalt für Strafrecht) and for tax law (Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht).

He is married with three children.

Aleksandra Stankovic

Aleksandra Stankovic (formerly Balaneskovic) studied law in Frankfurt am Main, specialising in criminal law, and completed her Second State Examination in Law there. As part of her legal internship, she worked, among others, at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (“BaFin”) and with a criminal division of the Frankfurt am Main Regional Court responsible for serious criminal cases.

Since being admitted to the German Bar, Mrs Stankovic has advised, represented and defended individuals and corporate clients in all matters relating to white-collar and criminal tax law as well as regulatory offences. Aleksandra Stankovic is a certified specialist lawyer in tax law. Before joining Schneider | Schultehinrichs in 2023, she worked as a lawyer at a major international law firm, where her practice focused on advising companies on white-collar criminal law matters and assisting with internal investigations.

Mrs Stankovic is a member of JuWiSt e.V. and the German Association for White-Collar Criminal Law (Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. – WiSteV). She is fluent in English, Serbian/Croatian and Romanian.

Dr. Anne Pradel

Dr Anne Pradel studied law at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, specialising in criminal law, and completed her studies with the First State Examination in Law. During her time at the Chair of Professor Joachim Renzikowski, she focused, among other areas, on issues of German and European criminal procedure.

Following her First State Examination, Dr Pradel completed her doctorate at Goethe University Frankfurt under the supervision of Professor Matthias Jahn. Her doctoral thesis examined the political authority to issue instructions to German public prosecutors.

As part of her legal internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, Dr Pradel completed placements at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (“BaFin”) and the Darmstadt Regional Court, among others. She also worked at renowned law firms specialising in white-collar criminal law. Dr Pradel completed her legal internship with the Second State Examination in Law.

Since being admitted to the German Bar, Dr Pradel has advised, represented and defended individuals and corporate clients, particularly in matters relating to white-collar and criminal tax law as well as regulatory offences.

Dr Pradel is a member of JuWiSt e.V. and the German Association for White-Collar Criminal Law (Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. – WiSteV).

Milena Schwittek

Milena Schwittek studied law at Goethe University Frankfurt, specialising in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences.

She completed her legal internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main where she passed the Second State Examination.

From an early stage in her legal training, Milena focused on white-collar crime and criminal tax law. During her legal internship, she worked both at a major international law firm and at Schneider | Schultehinrichs, where she gained extensive practical experience advising and defending companies and individuals in complex white-collar crime matters.

Since her admission to the German Bar, Milena Schwittek has advised, represented and defended individuals and corporate clients in all areas of white-collar crime, criminal tax law as well as regulatory offences. Her practice particularly focuses on complex criminal investigations, corporate criminal law matters and strategic defence in white-collar crime proceedings.

Milena Schwittek is a member of JuWiSt e.V. and the German Association for White-Collar Criminal Law (Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. – WiSteV).

Prof. Dr. Otto Lagodny

The law office works in close cooperation with Prof. Dr. Lagodny. Professor (retd) Dr. Otto Lagodny, born in 1958, studied law in Tübingen where he gained his doctorate on the law of extradition (1986). He qualified as a university lecturer in Freiburg with a thesis on the relationship between criminal law and fundamental rights (1995). Following his work at the University of Dresden (1995 – 1999) he came to the University of Salzburg. He taught and researched there, in particular in all fields of international criminal and criminal procedure law.

He is co-publisher of a commentary on the law of mutual judicial assistance covering the whole German-speaking area, now in its 6th edition. A lengthier research stay at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, rounds off his experience abroad for which eleven years of work at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law formed the basis.
